Peace, Love and Baby Ducks

Today I was at my mom's store cuhz my brother had to go get his invisalign so I finally got to finish the book! It was amazing. Hope you enjoy my review =]

Peace, Love and Baby Ducks by Lauren Myracle

Wealth, privilege, and way too many pastel-tinted opinions . . . That's Carly's life. And guess what? It's. Getting. On. Her. Nerves.
Carly wants to be real and she's always relied on her little sister, Anna, to love and support her - and tell her how right she is. But when Anna turns "hot" over the course of a single summer, everything goes weird. Suddenly Anna's swimming in the deep end with the big girls-the plastic-perfect-pretty-girls- while Carly watches, hurt, from the kiddie pool. And of course there are boys involved, complicating things as boys always do.

This book was really good. Lauren Myracle hasn't disappointed me yet. I loved this book, it was one of those I couldn't put down and was upset when I finished it. First of all, look at the cover. It reminds me of Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. I love how the ducks have one facing the other way. The story is all about sisterly love. Carly and Anna have a little inside joke which you'll read about. Around the middle of the book, it's about Carly then Anna gets back into the book later on. The last 2 or 3 chapters were the best in the book to me because so much happened and I really felt Carly's fury.
My favorite characters were Carly, Roger and Vonzelle. Roger seemed like a really nice and thoughtful guy and I'm happy how the book ended with him. Go read this book! It's my favorite now. Hope I did an okay job reviewing this. Now I gotta go do a book report on it and have a barbeque. Tehe =]
